Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s celebrations!

In 2025, I spent my time working on film script edits (as requested by one Hollywood producer) and producing a TV pilot script (as requested by a different Hollywood producer). Not that I’m keeping count, but I think I’m on version four of both! I’m particularly drawn to the TV script, as that medium allows for far more in-depth storytelling. A TV production would be around ten one-hour episodes, compared with less than two hours for a film. With a film script, I have to cut the story down, but for TV, I’ve expanded it, adding layers of depth not even present in the book. It’s been both a learning curve and great fun!

I’ve also been squeezing in some writing on the third book in The Zamorian Chronicles trilogy, The Primary Amulet. This has been very enjoyable. I’ve learnt a lot about writing over the last 20-odd years, and I hope that shows in my work when I finally get back out there. I’ve delayed releasing Books 2 and 3 of the series while the film and TV talks continue, but at some point, that will change. I’ll keep you posted.
